Healthy options for summer eating
As the news media constantly focuses on American’s unhealthy eating habits, there is also a growing trend across the county to eat fresh foods grown locally. Residents of the Fox Valley are fortunate to have quality resources available to help them maintain healthy eating habits. From the various farmers’ markets in the area to the community supported agricultural programs provided by local farms, there’s little excuse not to seek out healthier foods.
One of the great advantages of a CSA or a farmers’ market is that consumers have a chance to talk to the farmers about where their food comes from. Find all the local markets here. |
