Summer fun in Geneva!

Swedish Days Parade

Ahh, there is something about listening to live music, smelling fresh hot dogs, and sipping a cool beer on a warm summer night that evokes nostalgia for past summers. Nothing creates great summer memories like a good old-fashioned street festival! This is the time when the Tri-Cities come alive with an array of fun summer events. Each of the towns also has hidden gems such as Shakespeare in the Park and the Summer Concert Series that runs all summer long. From carnivals to cruise nights, Geneva residents will have no shortage of activities to fill their summer calendar.

As Laura Rush, Communications Manager at the Geneva Chamber of Commerce says, “There is always something exciting happening in Geneva. This makes our city truly a destination anytime of the year.” Geneva holds several events throughout the summer months that attract thousands of visitors to the city. Each festival is unique and offers a taste of all that Geneva has to offer. “Geneva is fortunate to have so many active community members that all strive for one thing—bringing visitors to town and spotlighting Geneva.” says Rush. “Geneva is unique, charming and fun.”

Traci Wicks, Marketing and Public Relations Supervisor for the Geneva Park District agrees. “The Geneva Park District prides itself on offering a variety of fun-filled community events for all ages. These events not only bring the community together, but also promote the importance of fitting recreational activities into your lifestyle.”
